The NFU Mutual Agency Giving Fund

Supporting local front-line charities across the UK

We’ve been a champion of rural communities the length and breadth of the UK for over 100 years, supporting local causes is part of what we do day to day. 

The Agency Giving Fund formed part of our £3.25m funding pledge for local and national charities in 2024. During the year, we’re proud to have distributed £1.92m to local charities across the UK through the initiative.

The history of NFU Mutual’s Agency Giving Fund

In 2020, we recognised the vital need to provide support for local frontline charities Coronavirus Pandemic right across the UK, and so we set up the Agency Giving Fund.

We’re very proud that the Fund has remained an annual initiative, and it is a key way for NFU Mutual to deliver its responsible business ambition to protect rural lives and livelihoods. Over the last five years, a total of £8.76m has been donated through the fund to champion the vital work of small, local, charities who are providing essential services for our customers and wider communities. 

We know that our agency businesses are best-placed in their communities to identify where local funds should be directed, so we invite them all to nominate local charities to receive a share of the fund. Our agency offices and branches cover over 280 locations nationwide, so this helps to ensure our donations reach all corners of the UK.

How our 2024 fund made a difference

From providing food parcels, to supporting local hospices and mental health support groups, our 2024 Agency Giving Fund supported more than 300 wonderful causes across the UK.
